Esther Sevilla Garcia hails from Quezon City, holding a notable academic background with two degrees to her name. She first earned her AB in Political Science degree in 1970 from University of the Philippines Diliman, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts majoring in Painting in 1998, where she graduated cum laude from the same prestigious university. Esther is not only an accomplished artist but also a dynamic force in the art community, serving as the founder and President of the Dynamic Art Group, an assembly of 25 seasoned artists. Additionally, she holds key roles such as Auditor of the Art Wednesday Group, Core Member of Art Siklab UP Batch 94, and memberships in the World Fine Arts Society Winners Circle and UP College of Fine Arts Alumni Association Inc.

Esther Sevilla Garcia’s artistic journey is marked by significant milestones, including four solo shows and participation in over 100 group exhibitions. Her expertise is widely recognized, as she has been invited multiple times to serve as an art panelist for graduating classes and as a judge in various Art Competitions. Her contributions extend beyond the canvas, earning her the Manila Bay-ani Award on September 19, 2020, during World Clean-up Day at the Manila Yacht Club. This prestigious award was conferred by esteemed environmentalist groups from Madrid, Normandy, Washington D.C., Singapore, and the Philippines.

Notably, Esther’s artistic prowess extends to the realm of national recognition, with her artworks being selected for the Philippine TB Stamps in both 2022 and 2023. Her achievements are further underscored by being featured in various publications, including “Kayumangi – Biographies of Philippine Visual Artists” by the Peso Book Foundation, a review in Women Studies Vol XXI #2 by the UP Center for Women Studies, and contributions to “Palettes Feast of Colors” and “Filipino Artists, their Culture, their Art” by Fil Arts Publishing.
